About me and my education experience

My name is Elizabeth Kirby and on December 14, 2008, I will be a graduate of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.

After I graduated from high school, I received an associate degree from Pasco Hernando Community College. I was lucky enough to receive a full ride scholarship to PHCC for softball, and the whole experience was awesome.

After graduating from PHCC, I enrolled at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.  I majored in mass communications with a focus on magazine writing and designing.

While attending the university, I interned for two websites.  The first was a start-up site called the Florida High School Baseball Report.  The second was for the website of a local 24-hour news station called  Bay News 9.

I enjoy writing stories, designing pages and infographics, taking pictures and being a journalist.

After graduation I hope to land a job in a media outlet where I can continue to pursue what I love.
